Why I got involved.

So, I have finally found 5 minutes to sit down and write my first ever blog! I can’t believe it’s only 7 weeks til the Big Event! Good job we started organising and planning when we did cos the time has flown by. I have to say I am soooo excited for the ball… the excuse to buy a new frock, plenty of good food and wine, dancing the night away but most importantly being amongst family and friends. After all, that is the main reason why I got involved with The Pink Ball in the first place, to raise as much money as possible for such a good cause. It’s something that has been especially close to my heart over the past year as my Aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer last March. I have to say it was a shock – these things don’t happen to ‘you’ or ‘your family’ but it was… and there was nothing we could do but be there for my aunt and support her in every way possible. She is one of the bravest women I know and I am so proud to call her my aunt. I think one of the most important things, and I’m sure Joan will agree, is to stay positive and that’s exactly the attitude my aunt had and look at her now – fighting fit after surgery, chemo and then more surgery just a week ago! She is a true hero in my eyes and I’m so excited to share this night with her as a celebration of life.
We have been working so hard to make the night as memorable and successful as possible! I’m amazed by the generosity of individuals and companies all over Scotland and I have to say you are in for a treat on the night as we have got some fab prizes and entertainment lined up!
All that’s left for me to say is that if you haven’t got your tickets yet then call us now as you don’t want to miss ‘The most glamorous event in town’!!
See you on the 24th March!
